The story of 暗

dark

暗 is composed of 日(the sun) and 音(sound), the sun is the most common natural luminary in the world, without the sun(in other word, when the environment is dark), we can only discern our direction by sound, the shape of 暗 clearly pointed out our situation when we are in the dark.
