悉 is composed of 釆 and 心(heart). 釆 depicts a ripe and dangling spike of rice, when the rice is ripe, the grains of rice will pop out and clearly shown, which has the meaning of all and detailed. On the other hand, ancient Chinese think that heart is the organ of perception, so 悉 is used to represent knowing.
