如 is composed of the BuShou of 艸(grass) and如(means ‘as if’ or ‘such as’). The original meaning of 如 is a woman sipping or eating something gently, since如 has other meanings, the BuShou of 艸 is added to represent such meaning. Plant-based food is easier to be eaten than meat, we don’t need to bit hard.
