輭 is composed of車(car) and耎(facial hair soft and smooth as the stretching limbs of a man).耎 is used to describe something which is soft and smooth, the smoothness of wheels is important for the running of a car, we have ‘安車輭輪(stable car, smooth wheels)’ in ancient books.
