黌
The story of 黌
school
黌 is composed of 𦥑 (two hands), 爻 (lines on a trigram) ,the variant of 六 (six) and 黃 (yellow). The upper part of 學 depicts two hands demonstrating the calculation of counting rods on a mound, while 黃 is the picture of a man wearing a semi-circular jade ornament (璜). A man who wears a semi-circular jade ornament is a nobleman. Only nobles could study in school in ancient China.
