寅 depicts an umbrella-like hut, while two men is resting underneath it. Such hut was the primitive residency of human beings. After people have made their clothes, they need a place to settle down, so 寅 is the third of DiZi after 丑. 寅 also means reverence. You invite someone to your home only if you respect him.
