The story of 跑

run

跑 is composed of 足 (foot) and 包 (bag, wrap). 包 is the picture of a fetus being wrapped inside the fetal membrane. When giving birth, the fetus needs to dash and break the fetal membrane to come out, 跑 is the act of dashing by feet.
